Theology in Prague – where are you going? This was the topic for the meeting of the Association of Friends of the Protestant Theological Faculty of the Charles University in Prague from the 3 to 5 November 2006.
With his book “Ježíšův příběh – výzva pro nás“ (Jesus’ life – A challenge for us) Prof. Jakub S. Trojan offered one possible answer.
During the presentation and discussion of his book Trojan as a professor of ethics distanced himself from the liberal theologians of the 19th and 20th century, but wanted to look at the passion of Jesus Christ. The passion constitutes one pole of his life, while the resurrection is its second pole.
Trojan’s co-speakers were Doc. Ivana Noble, Doc. Pavel Hošek, Mgr. Pavol Bargár, Doc. Petr Macek and this gave a good opportunity to get to know better the younger generation of theologians in Prague. Hopefully we’ll soon get an English translation of prof. Trojans very interesting book.
Within the annual meeting of the Friends of the Faculty there was still enough time to get to know former and current students of the faculty as well as one and another short-term-studies of „Pivnici filosofie“.
